Creator of Exceptional Experiences
Officially Crowned Travel's Creator of Exceptional Experiences, Ta-Tanisha Thomas, got the international travel bug at age 5 on her first trip to the island of Bermuda from New York City. Years later, after gaining experience planning travel professionally and personally for her family of six, she developed a passion for coordinating custom itineraries to ensure a client's experience is exceptional.
She has achieved various certifications and designations from reputable organizations and tourism boards. These include being a Certified Autism Travel Professional (CATP) verified by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES), a Certified Family Travel Advisor after meeting the requirements of the Family Travel Association, and being recognized as a Specialist by tourism boards such as Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, the Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Los Cabos, Greater Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, St. Kitts & Nevis, and St. Lucia, among others.
A Certified Autism Travel Professional™ (CATP) is defined as a professional who has demonstrated that they are both knowledgeable and capable of providing support and travel related services to an individual on the autism spectrum as well as their family. The CATP has gone through the IBCCES Certification program to specialize in autism related needs and accommodations specifically related to travel.
The Family Travel Association (FTA) sets the standard for knowledge, expertise, and excellence for travel advisors specializing in the family travel market. FTA training to become a Certified Family Travel Advisor is based on relevant market research studies and real-life examples. FTA Certified Family Travel Advisors will have a competitive advantage to confidently deliver family vacation experiences that exceed client expectations at every life stage.
